Since 2002 Richland Electric Cooperative has been recognized as a Tree Line USA contributor for the Arbor Day Foundation. We have received this award since 2002 because of our dedication to tree trimming and replanting of trees. It is very important to Richland Electric Cooperative to contribute to the environment. We often take this opportunity to provided learning experiences for our youth. In the past we have given students of all ages the opportunity to plant trees at their school. REC will provide trees, mulch and water to educate students on the importance of planting trees. We also explain to students the danger of climbing trees near power lines. Safety is the number one priority of Richland Electric Cooperative, not only for our employees but to our community as well.
